An Iftar with Future Doctors: “Beyond Prescription Healing the Human”

SIO Medical Unit organized a Da‘wat-e-Iftar program aimed at reflecting on the true spirit of Ramadan and its significance in the life of a doctor. Around 100 medical students and doctors gathered to break their fast together, followed by an engaging seminar titled “Beyond Prescription: Healing the Human.” The program commenced withTilawat-e-Qur’an by Safikul Islam, setting a spiritual tone for the evening. This was followed by the welcome address delivered by Furqan Ahmad, President of the SIO Medical Unit. The keynote address was delivered by Dr. Masihur Rahman, President of Jamaat-e-Islami West Bengal, who shed light on the essence of Ramadan from a doctor’s perspective, emphasizing compassion, ethical responsibility, and holistic healing. The program concluded with remarks by Abdul Wakil, General Secretary of SIO West Bengal, who shared ideas for further engagement and collaboration among medical students and professionals. The event was also graced by Sk. Imran Hossein, State President of SIO West Bengal, Masud Karim, Convenor of HWF West Bengal, along with several other distinguished guests
